As an important process in steel structure, welding is a complex process involving arc physics, heat transfer, metallurgy and mechanics, which is directly related to the quality of the project and the structural safety. Due to the highly concentrated instantaneous heat input, a considerable residual stress (welding residual stress) is produced after welding, and the residual welding stress is the internal force occurring in the absence of external force compared with the static load stress. Residual stress will affect the corrosion, cracking, fatigue strength and other mechanical properties, but also have a great impact on the physical properties of materials, the structure of the greater harm.
