References in the literature regarding the use of balloon dilatation of ureteral stones and the use of metal baskets for ureteral calculi inspired the authors to work with manufacturers to design a set of ureteral catheters with dilated vesicles and helical wire baskets for simultaneous ureteral dilatation and stone removal.
