We would love to learn about the actual situation of rural education in South Korea on the occasion of Jeju’s participation in the National Assembly of the Korea Association of UNESCO. So, on the one hand, we visited a rural school arranged by the ROK; on the other hand, we took a taxi by our side and asked the driver to take us to the countryside and stop at all the passing schools to conduct an “unannounced visit” “. The ROK wet-school that we visit is a rural school located in quite remote areas, mainly agriculture and fisheries. When we arrived at the school, all the students in the fifth and sixth grades welcomed us in their local costumes. The only placard they held was ”Chinese characters for farmers“ in Chinese characters. Four A character ”day farming night read ". The tradition of this highly cultivated farming culture is hardly seen on the rural campus of our country.
