CEFR堆芯周围有许多屏蔽层组件,由内装吸收体材料为天然硼的碳化硼圆柱体芯块的不锈钢包壳管组成。碳化硼芯块采用热压烧结法制备,由中南大学粉末冶金所承担试制。热压烧结工艺过程是:先用硼酸和碳黑合成制粉,冷压制坯,然后经热压烧结,精加工,最后进行表面清洗和干燥,得到碳化硼芯块产品。其中,关键的环节工艺是热压烧结,它影响碳化硼的晶粒度、密度均匀度和孔隙率。碳化硼试制始于2000年,2001年7月试制出最终产品,经验收,产品达到了技术要求。
There are a number of shielding assemblies around the CEFR core, consisting of a stainless steel cladding tube with an absorber body of boron carbide cylindrical pellets of natural boron. Boron carbide pellets prepared by hot pressing, powder metallurgy by Central South University undertakes trial production. Hot pressing sintering process is: first boric acid and carbon black synthesis milling, cold pressing billet, and then sintered by hot pressing, finishing, and finally the surface cleaning and drying to obtain boron carbide pellet products. Among them, the key part of the process is hot pressing sintering, which affects the grain size of boron carbide, density uniformity and porosity. Boron carbide trial began in 2000, July 2001 trial of the final product, the experience received, the product has reached the technical requirements.
