This paper presents a vertical circulation mathematical model of a stratified reservoir and its analytical solutions, including rectangular (hereinafter referred to as lakeside) and semi-infinitely elongated (hereinafter referred to as river-type) reservoirs in inflow-out Flow Exchange and Wind Solutions. This method takes into account the additional horizontal density changes in the reservoir and is of great importance to the calculation of the extent of the recirculation zone.
