在落实“以粮为纲,全面发展”的方针指导下,为了加速我县油料生产发展,努力提高栽培技术水平和单位面积产量,1978年全县春花生种植43548亩,平均亩产322斤(其中麦迹地和冬种迹地27206亩)。同时花生间种大豆,每亩增收大豆35至45斤,与1977年同期比较,花生亩增产79斤,总产增加48579担,单产增长13.2％,总产增长15％,全县出现一批400斤公社,500斤大队,700斤高产田。莲上公社水沙田改种花生2719亩,平均亩产408斤。
