目前作梅毒血清反应,主要用牛心肌酒精浸出液制抗原,但为了增强抗原敏感性,可加胆固醇(0.25——0.3%)。近年工作証明,与胆固醇結合之磷脂类(磷脂与卵磷脂),是梅毒血清反应活动的基础,而三者必需适当配合,才能得到敏感性及特异性均高的抗原。磷脂类广泛分布于动植物界,被采用的有黄豆,小麦,馬鈴薯,核桃及巴旦杏仁等。我們制造植物性抗原,开始用五倍于植物的乙醇浸提两周后。在滤液中加胆固醇(0.25%),此法所得抗原,其抗科体及非特异性之百分此均甚高。

We make plant antigens and start leaching with ethanol five times the plant two weeks later. Cholesterol (0.25%) was added to the filtrate. Antigens and non-specificity of antigens obtained by this method were very high.
