“张力”与“表现”是当代中国水墨画发展中的两个重要环节,或曰两个焦点问题。作为去年《张力的实验——94表现性水墨展》的延续,这个系列展的初衷便是直接面对这两个焦点问题。 作为直接面对问题的展览,不可能有太多的“玩艺术”和“游戏人生”之类的心态,也没有“隆重推出”和“一举成功”之类的奢望,这个展览的基本状态是不断提出问题和寻找可能,不断追求想象的自由和展开生命的渴望,不断在肯定中进行自我否定又在否定中进行自我肯定。
“Tension” and “performance” are two important links in the development of contemporary Chinese ink painting, or two focal points. As a continuation of the “Tension Experiment - 94 Performance Ink Painting Exhibition” last year, the original intention of this series exhibition was to directly address these two key issues. As an exhibition directly facing the issue, there can not be too many mentality of “playing art” or “game of life” nor the luxury of “grand introduction” or “success in one fell swoop.” The basic status of this exhibition Constantly asking questions and looking for possible, constant pursuit of freedom of imagination and the thirst for life, constantly self-denial in affirmation and self-affirmation in negation.
