“张力”与“表现”是当代中国水墨画发展中的两个重要环节,或曰两个焦点问题。作为去年《张力的实验——94表现性水墨展》的延续,这个系列展的初衷便是直接面对这两个焦点问题。 作为直接面对问题的展览,不可能有太多的“玩艺术”和“游戏人生”之类的心态,也没有“隆重推出”和“一举成功”之类的奢望,这个展览的基本状态是不断提出问题和寻找可能,不断追求想象的自由和展开生命的渴望,不断在肯定中进行自我否定又在否定中进行自我肯定。 “Tension” and “performance” are two important links in the development of contemporary Chinese ink painting, or two focal points.
