陶瓷在人类的实践下演变成为一门艺术,经过几千年的变革与发展,陶瓷形成了特有的风格,即装饰中带有实用性,实用中带有装饰性。从新石器时代仰韶文化、马家窑文化、龙山文化遗址中出土的彩陶,器形优美,反映出人类早期的设计理念,表现体现出极高的美学价值,即使经历了历史的尘埃,却依然具有非凡的魅力。大汶口文化彩陶缽、孙家寨舞蹈彩陶缽,其身上绘制的黑红几何抽象图像纹,人物舞蹈连续图案纹,均体现了美的原则,设计的立体构成和形式美法则。陶瓷艺术本身与形式美是整体美的重要组成部分,两者的构成关系直接影响艺术设计的效果。本文对陶瓷艺术中的形式美的解读入手,深入分析形式美。
