The urgency of crankshaft repair and the long service life of diesel locomotive diesel engines are well known. This problem is particularly acute for diesel locomotive repair shops owned by the Railway Repair Machinery Complex as they complete the Department of Transportation’s extended service life and localization program. In many plants, the damaged crankshaft has not yet been repaired due to the complexity of the repair process and the cost of repairing it. The main categories of crankshaft repair are: elimination of beating correction; elimination of ovality and local mechanical damage (such as scratches) by grinding to repair the crankshaft’s mainton and connecting rod journals; and coating by coating Wear and tear large journal diameter; weld crack; eliminate the crankshaft in the long working process of residual stress. This article details the experience of repairing a crankshaft that has been accumulated at the factory owned by the Railway Repair Machinery Complex.
