There is not much research on the state of iron nutrition in the elderly, especially the elderly over 75 years old. Because iron’s function is essential to life. Therefore, it is necessary to study the status of iron nutrition in the elderly. A recent Davis study demonstrates that the absorption of radioactive iron decreases with age, whether this is an age-related manifestation or whether the normal response to increased iron storage is unclear.
