英国17世纪世界发生了资产阶级革命,代表资产阶级利益的清教主义思想兴起,这在弥尔顿的代表作《失乐园》中有突出表现。《失乐园》塑造了一个英勇的反叛者撒旦形象并根据圣经传说创作了人类始祖亚当和夏娃的故事。本文试图通过对作品《失乐园》的分析,揭示出弥尔顿的革命主义、清教主义和人文主义思想。弥尔顿是英国文学史上的著名作家,他早年就读于剑桥,隐居霍顿时创作诗歌,中年直接参加社会政治斗争并撰写政论性文章,晚年口述创作三部巨著,其创作可分为三个时期。他晚年创作的诗歌《失乐园》是英国文学史上一部辉煌的史诗,也是他的代表作。这部作品充分展露了作者的革命主义、清教主义和人文主义思想。
The bourgeois revolution took place in the 17th century in the United Kingdom. The rise of Puritanism representing the interests of the bourgeoisie has been highlighted in Milton’s masterpiece Paradise Lost. Lost Paradise shapes the image of Satan, a brave rebel, and based on biblical legends, stories of Adam and Eve, human ancestors. This article attempts to reveal Milton’s ideas of revolutionism, Puritanism and humanism through the analysis of the lost Paradise. Milton was a famous writer in the history of British literature. He studied at Cambridge early in his career, wrote poetry in Horton when he was a middle-aged man, participated directly in social and political struggle and wrote political articles in his middle age, wrote three masterpieces in his later years, and his works can be divided into three period. His later years, the poem “Lost Paradise” is a brilliant epic in the history of British literature, but also his masterpiece. This work fully reveals the author’s revolutionary ideas, Puritanism and humanism.
