Objective: To investigate the expression of telomerase activity in peripheral blood of breast cancer patients and its relationship with invasion and metastasis. Methods: The telomerase activity in peripheral blood of 65 patients with breast cancer was detected by TRAP PCR-ELISA. The correlation between telomerase and the biological behavior of breast cancer was analyzed according to tumor size, grade, infiltration and lymph node metastasis Sex. Results: The positive rate of telomerase activity in peripheral blood was 40.00%, which was lower than the corresponding positive rate of breast cancer (61.54%). The relative activity of telomerase in peripheral blood of patients with breast cancer was significantly higher than that of patients with lymph node Metastasis and infiltration were positively correlated. Conclusion: The detection of telomerase activity in peripheral blood of patients may be superior to the detection of telomerase activity in tumor tissues. It can monitor the real-time status of cancer patients and guide clinical chemotherapy.
