湖北省竹溪县农民张长明在河北、山西等地承包10多个矿井。他的手下聚集着1500多名竹溪老乡,资产也一跃达到3000余万元,成为远近闻名的千万富翁。2006年,张长明捐资100万元修建了家乡的村级公路。去年,他被授予湖北省十堰市劳动模范称号。今年5.12四川汶川特大地震发生后,张长明心系灾区带头捐款5万元。5月27日,他再次缴纳1万元“特殊党费”用于灾区重建。他手下300多名工友也捐献赈灾善款10余万元。2008年5月23日,全国总工会副主席、书记处书记徐德明在新闻发布会上对此给予高度赞扬。
Zhang Changming, a farmer in Zhuxi County, Hubei Province, contracted more than 10 mines in Hebei and Shanxi. In 2006, Zhang Changming donated 1 million yuan to build a village road in his hometown. Last year, he was awarded the title of model worker in Shiyan City, Hubei Province. After the 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan this year, Zhang Changming took the lead in donating 50,000 yuan to disaster areas. On May 27, he paid another 10,000 yuan “special dues ” for the reconstruction of the disaster area. More than 300 workers under his hand also donated disaster relief donations more than 10 million. On May 23, 2008, Xu Deming, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and Secretary of the Secretariat, gave a high praise at the press conference.
