This small building is located in a small park, a 1-hour train ride from Shinkansen in Osaka to Hyogo Prefecture’s park. This small building is quite common in Japan and often does not reflect any geographical features. Located in the middle of newly-built primary and secondary schools in the area, the management office is simple in structure and consists of three parts: a janitor’s room and men’s and women’s toilets. This approach avoids the defensive nature of defining entrances with clear glass. In other words this makes the entire facility a gateway accessible from almost any direction. On the other hand, 3.2mm thick, breathable corrugated steel roofs, walls and floors create an empty space
