图书行业在当今市场经济浪潮的推动下,如何走出一条适应现代都市化城市发展的新路,对企业领导层来说,还是一个新课题。一些经营者已清醒地意识到,一个现代化管理者如不掌握企业内部要素及外部环境的及时准确的信息,便难以在激烈的图书竞争中提高自身的竞销能力。为此,上海图书公司委托了上海德泰电脑系统工程有限公司,在装修一新的图书城设计安装了图书零售业计算机管理系统,实施了科学管理的网络,在国内开创了先例。新改建的图书城地处上海市久负盛名的文化街福州路,每天顾客流量上万,图书城一楼至三楼营业厅面积1300平方米,店堂的布置吸取了海内外新颖的设计思路,绝大部分图书陈列实行开架,品种多达6万余种。
