“唯子不报”是《仪礼·丧服》中很少见的郑注直接纠正传的注释,本文认为围绕传注分歧的争论并不涉及礼学的根本原则,其背后的真正问题包括三个层面——大夫尊降旁亲、大夫之子压降旁亲、大夫命妇不降而报大夫之子。整篇文章的论证逻辑是:经文举大夫之子而包大夫,大夫、大夫之子皆不降其旁亲为大夫命妇者,但原则不同,大夫因尊同而不降,大夫之子因压于父尊而不降。大夫命妇不降大夫之子,是报服而非本服。此外,本文还整理了《丧服》中所有涉及报服的经和传,对报服的经典定义“旁尊报卑之服”提出了一点不同看法。
This is a very rare comment in Rites and Mourning.
