施蛰存先生是作家、翻译家、学者,又是编辑家。他的编辑生涯,说起来是很有意思的: 一、搭上《无轨列车》 1928年侨居日本的刘呐鸥在上海出资创办第一线书店,同时邀请震旦大学的同学施蛰存、戴望舒一起来办文艺刊物,名叫《无轨列车》,意思是刊物的方向,内容没有一定的“轨道”。尽管刊物起名为《无轨列车》,但内容还是比较集中的。1928年9月10日创刊号的封底有这样一段文字:“诸君,你恐怕还不曾有一种称心的小杂志。你们要时常看看好的创作小说吗?你们喜欢读音铿锵的诗歌吗?你们爱流利的散文随笔吗?你们喜欢看欧美日本各国现代的名著吗?你们也想领受些尖锐的讽刺文里的机智吗?……”从这段文字中,我们就可以看到该刊的办刊方针,它是“有轨”的。
