Objective To explore the value of neural navigation in intracranial cavernous hemangiomas. Methods Nine patients with cavernous hemangioma in deep brain (2 cases of corpus callosum, 4 cases of hippocampus, 2 cases of frontal lobe and 1 case of parietal lobe) underwent magnetic resonance (MR) scan. The data were input to the neurosurgery system. Quasi, intraoperative navigation guide to find the lesion and complete removal. Results The registration error of intraoperative navigation was about 2mm, and 9 patients achieved total resection. No postoperative complications occurred. Conclusion Nerve navigation is helpful for the accurate finding and resection of deep cavernous hemangiomas in the brain. It is a safe, effective and minimally invasive microinvasive surgical method.
