新课改背景下,对于地理选修课的开设,要求结合不同地区的实际,根据学生的发展需要,鼓励地方和学校开发相应的地方课程和学校课程。它对地理教学的促进作用主要体现在3个方面:①拓展学生的课外知识;②发展学生的兴趣和特长;③突出学校特色和多样化。学生户外活动是选修课结合校本教材对学科特色的拓展和延伸。学生开展这种活动,其实就是对地理选修知识的一个很好的补充,它从地理层面上,特别是综合层面上,让学生学到了书本上没有或书本上有但与实际不完全相同的
