I was deeply impressed by a canvas of Claude Monet called Impression Sunrise when I saw it in my art book，and I like it very much.
What impressed me most is the composition.The port and the sun are wreathed in the mist，the refraction of the sunlight on the dancing waves makes the painting dynamic.There are three indistinct boats sailing above the water，so the painting is full of vigour.The ascending smoke from factory chimneys in the distance reveals the background of industrial age.
My favorite part of Impression Sunrise is its light.Monet stuck to painting in the sun，it was not accepted by the masses at that time.Because Western European painters usually drew by candlelight or other artificial lights then.Drawing in natural light not only made the painting more lifesome but also made Monet become the vanguard of impressionism.
The color utilization is memorable as for me.Lavender，steel gray，pale red and orange-yellow make the painting dreamlike.I felt relaxed and peaceful when I saw the canvas for the first time，owing to the colors.They are not too bright or too pale and Monet did well in managing cool colors and warm colors.
I have also learnt something about the painter，Claude Monet，who has bought me the feeling of moved and affected.He was as poor as a church mouse in the year of 1878，he even had no money to provide her wife treatment，so she passed away in 1879.Thirty- two years later，his second wife died and his son passed away in 1914.However，he didn’t completely lose the hope of life because of his misfortune.One of his most famous paintings Le Bassinaux Nympheas was created after undergoing the hardships.
It seems like I am in the port at sunrise and enjoying the morning scenery every time I see the painting.How eager I am to see the genuine canvas some day！
