My Hard-working Neighbours
There lives a family of ants under a tree in front of my house.
They work hard all day long clearing their house and looking for food outside. None of them seems lazy in their family. They are friendly to each other and help each other.
One day， I found they were busy carrying earth in their mouths to stop up the door of their house. Soon it rained cats and dogs. I thought， “The ants will surely be in danger. It rained so heavily.” Twenty minutes later， the rain stopped. I went out to see the ants in a hurry. To my surprise， they were still alive and as happy as ever. The earth at the door of their house kept the rain out. They were busy busy carrying it away.
It was late at night. I thought the ants would be tired with their day-long work. But when I went to see them again by the light of a candle， I found they were still working quietly.
What hard-working neighbours they are！
我勤劳的邻居
我家房子前的一棵大树下住着一群蚂蚁。
它们整天辛勤地工作，打扫房子，在外面寻找食物。它们当中似乎没有一个懒惰的。它们彼此和睦相处，互相帮助。
有一天，我看到它们正忙着用嘴叼著泥土堵住洞口。不久，天下起了瓢泼大雨。我心想，“蚂蚁们一定会很危险。雨下得太大了。”二十分钟以后，雨停了。我匆忙出去看蚂蚁。令我惊讶的是，它们还活着，而且和以前一样快乐。洞口处的泥土把雨水阻挡在了外面。它们正忙着把泥土清理走。
时间已是深夜了。我原以为蚂蚁会因为一天的忙碌而疲倦。但当我借着蜡烛的光线再去看它们的时候，发现它们仍在默默地工作。
它们是多么勤劳的邻居啊！
