Tao Yuanming’s “Miscellaneous Poems · Twelve Poems” (Part Two) is one of the more outstanding poems, which clearly shows the frustration and disappointment of the artist’s ambition. The passage of time written in the poem, which has limited life, and a sense of accomplishment that has not attained its cause and whose value of life has yet to be realized, has a long-term significance for human life. This article explores the unique artistic charm of this poem from the vivid emotion and artistic style of poetry so as to guide readers to fully understand the overall artistic style of Tao Yuanming’s poetry.
