膨润土是一种以含蒙脱石类矿物为主的粘土,由于蒙脱石具有独特的矿物结构和结晶化学性质,使膨润土具有很大的实用价值。膨润土分散于水溶液中具有吸附次甲基蓝的能力,其吸附的量被称为吸蓝量,膨润土中蒙脱石含量越高,吸蓝量越多。因此,吸蓝量可成为粗略估计膨润土矿中蒙脱石相对含量的技术指标。示波极谱法测定膨润土的吸蓝量,基于经蒙脱石吸附后的水悬胶液中,用极谱法测定剩余的次甲基蓝量,该设想立意新颖,是继patterson和Boenisch创立晕环法后唯一能获得准确结果的新方法。
