基层图书馆是基层公共文化服务体系中不可缺少的一部分,是衡量一个地区文化发展的标志,是为广大群众传递信息、传播知识,以及开展教育活动的主要阵地之一。近年来,尽管各级政府为基层图书馆的建设做出了不少的努力,但是与大型图书馆相比,基层图书馆在硬件基础设施、资金投入、人力资源,以及软件建设等方面还有很大的差距。从图书馆为广大基层群众提供服务、满足大众基本文化需求而言,基层图书馆的作用举足轻重,因此,作为图书馆工作者,我们应当思考如何发挥基层图书馆的职能,使其更好地为广大群众服务,进而促进地方经济的建设和文化的发展。 Grassroots libraries are an indispensable part of grassroots public cultural service system.
