The 15 pieces of Chinese artifacts on display in the Oriental Gallery of the British Museum in Britain were recently stolen. These artifacts are from 600 to 1300 years old, including Hosta, earrings, hair clips and finger cots and other items. London police said the museum alarm system did not trigger, infer that the thief may be leaving with the jewelry during the museum opening hours. The exhibition hallway and passage in the British Museum total about 4 km long, security guards patrolling back and forth daily, and the museum also houses an alarm system. However, there is no independent alarm system installed at the Asian Antiquities Exhibition Center where stolen jewelery is located.
