在以异步转移模式(ATM)为基础的公共宽带数据业务得到应用之前,预计帧中继网将会在专用/公用网络中引入。本文首先描述帧中继网络的技术和今后在提供高速数据业务方面的重要性。接着评述一般帧中继协议结构。文章还着重强调了帧中继的两个重要方面:拥塞管理和互操作性。
Before ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) based public broadband data services are applied, it is expected that the Frame Relay network will be introduced in the private / public network. This article first describes the technology of Frame Relay networks and the importance of providing high-speed data services in the future. Then comment on the general frame relay protocol structure. The article also highlights two important aspects of Frame Relay: congestion management and interoperability.
