Scientific and technological progress and innovation are decisive factors in promoting economic and social development. However, a large number of surveys reflect that the lack of innovative awareness and poor hands-on capabilities are common phenomena among young people in China. In order to change this situation, in 2000 the Ministry of Education included “research learning” as a required course in ordinary high schools, and it will be pushed to junior high schools and elementary schools so as to develop innovative awareness and hands-on skills from the dolls. As adolescent students, “research-based learning” focuses on learning, learning how to find topics for themselves, how to collect and find data, how to design research programs, how to implement hands-on practices, how to find problems and solve problems, and to directly experience and experience the process of knowledge discovery. It cultivates its own innovative spirit, practical ability and interest in scientific exploration. This publication opens up the “small scientific research” column. The purpose is to introduce some examples of “research learning” in order to inspire and benefit young readers. In this issue, the works of several students from Tianjiabing Experimental High School in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province were introduced. We welcome young readers to actively participate and experience the joy of hands-on and the joy of success, and send us a small paper to share experiences and share happiness with everyone!
