基水地蔗区既极少轮作,又欠施有机肥料,而且存在偏施重施化学氮肥的严重倾向,值得引起注意。近年来亩施化学氮肥量(硫酸铵计)一般由120斤增加到250斤,甘蔗产量虽然有所提高,但生产成本大大增加,土壤性质变劣,甘蔗品质下降,蔗糖份降低,对工、农业生产均极为不利。目前,工业部门生产磷、钾的化学肥料还供不应求,对合理配施氮、磷、钾肥料的推广受到一定的影响。但氮、磷、钾肥料(或各种配比的复合肥)合理配比施用是必由之路。本试验目的是寻找本地区甘蔗施用氮、磷、钾肥
