胡瑗提出了一系列的用人思想,尤其在用贤方面有其独特的见解。他认为,治国必须用贤,所以要做好人才的考察与挑选工作,按才德受任,让贤才发挥应有的作用。胡瑗不仅注意到了用贤问题,而且注意到了养贤问题。他要求做好供养贤才、培养贤才、保护贤才的工作。此外,胡瑗还从贤才的心理需要出发,强调通过建立和谐的君臣关系来激发贤才的积极性,充分发挥贤才的潜能。
