Zhang Jinglu is not only a publisher, he is concerned about state affairs, or an outstanding social activist. In 1919, the “May 4th” Movement broke out in Beijing. He heard the news in the hometown of Zhenhai in Zhejiang Province. He can not help but feel excited. In his own words, he should break through the cage, break himself and create new life. He immediately rushed to Shanghai to participate in the All-China Federation of Save the Nation. At this time, in response to the “May 4th Movement,” Shanghai launched a campaign to stop the traders, student strikeouts and workers’ strikes on June 3. After the “June 3” campaign, another opposition to Nishihara borrowed money, canceled the four-way contract, dismissed Duan Qirui, dissolved the Anfu Department of Armed Forces Frontier Defense Forces, and called on the business community to nominate delegates to Beijing for petitions.
