With the rise of e-commerce, more and more companies use the Internet to purchase items. Some companies or industries have even formed an online purchasing alliance that greatly enhances the bargaining power and strives for the best possible price, saving a lot of money for the company. In just a few months, online purchases have approached $ 1 trillion, accounting for about one-seventh of global purchases. Online purchasing has become an important tool for companies, saving up to 10% to 20% on purchasing costs. Just as agricultural equipment maker John Deere wants to cut the cost of purchasing parts and supplies by 5% within five years, with the goal of saving nearly $ 1 billion. United Technologies has also reduced its supplier bill by nearly 800 million U.S. dollars. Chevron said that until the summer of this year, global drilling equipment, pipelines and engineering services providers sell products through a single site called Petrocosm Marketplace, the energy industry can save 11 billion US dollars each year. Now even the old chemical company DuPont is also actively looking for good bargaining e-procurement talent.
