Objective: To explore the success rate of disposable puncture for intravenous catheter in children aged 2 years through quality control circle activities. Methods: A quality control circle group was set up in January 2015 to conduct stratified management to investigate the successful puncture of intravenous indwelling needles within 2 years of age from January to March. The theme of the circle was established, the reason was analyzed, and the countermeasures were given to implement , The effect of evaluation. Results: From May to August 2015, a total of 476 people with 412 needle punctures were successfully surveyed, with a success rate of 86.56%. The success rate was significantly higher than 69.47% before improvement (χ ~ 2 = 41.520, P = 0.000). Pointing too deep into the needle punctures the blood vessel, the judgment mistake does not pound the blood vessel, throws the needle too many to send the tube to mistake, the nurse psychological pressure, the child cooperation and so on all obtains some degree of improvement. Conclusion: Quality control ring activities can improve the success rate and nursing quality of intravenous catheter in children under 2 years old, and improve the satisfaction of children or their families.
