In the study of teaching process, group cooperative learning is an important teaching organization form under the new curriculum standard. Group cooperation on the excitement of students interested in learning, the development of student collaboration have a great role. This paper focuses on the theoretical basis, implementation process and educational value of the group cooperative learning model, trying to outline the contents of the group cooperative learning from these aspects, so as to deeply explore the effective strategies and methods of English classroom teaching in junior middle schools. 1. The theoretical basis of group cooperative learning classroom model The cooperative learning classroom model is an important learning model mentioned in many education and teaching literature. This model is different from the autonomous learning model
