Since the 20th century, 90 years of Canadian immigration films, the images show mainly from the third world countries such as West Asia, North Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia and other immigrant groups as the object. This theme has unique structure and distinct light and shadow style of immigration narrative discourse, which not only serves as a fit of cultural consciousness and multicultural ideology, and leads the Canadian film into a new development course. At the same time, as a popular culture commodity in the era of globalization, These immigration films are also unavoidably affected by the subtle influence of market and transnational capital logic. During this period, the narrative orientation and rhetorical strategies began to quietly evolve.
