我想大家期待Intel新一代的赛扬处理器已经很长时间了吧。在这期间,AMD的ATHLON和VIA的JOSHUA都给Intel在市场上带来了相当大的压力。铜矿看起来价格比较高,要想所有的人都使用它,恐怕有点困难。而老的赛扬只有0.25微米的,所以速度极限也只能在500上下。在这个关头,新款的赛扬如果再不出现的话,Intel怎么也是说不过去的。近日,Intel发布了最新型的赛扬处理器—赛扬2代。赛扬2代的核心其实还是铜矿的核心。包含了SSE指令,全速L2缓存及其他铜矿中的特性。不过赛扬2代的L2是128kB,而铜矿则是256kB。另外,目前的赛扬2代还将继续使用66MHz的外频,所以,并不能被1820主板所支持。赛扬2代是0.18微米的制造工艺,采用新型的工艺制作并且减小了DIE的面积,最大的好处就是大大提高了CPU主频
