This paper reports the results of the study on interspecific hybridization of pine forest, the most serious forest pest in our country. Studies have shown that Dendrolimus punctatus Walker, DendrolimustabulaeformisTsaietLiu, Dendrolimus spectabilis Butler, and Dendrolimus pubesutus can hybridize with each other and the genetic relationship is relatively close. Among them, the oil pine caterpillars and red caterpillar dendrolimus were respectively mixed with Dendrolimus punctatus, fertile F1 generation can be generated either in the cross or in the cross, and the F1 generation self-cross F2 generation, demonstrating that there is no genital isolation between them. In addition, the oil pine caterpillars, red caterpillar pests and Dendrolimus punctatus, respectively interspecific hybrids with the larch caterpillars can also be carried out, and produce F1 hybrids dendrolimus, but under artificial feeding conditions larvae mortality is high, after years of repeated tests, both Failed to complete the F2 generation. In addition, its morphological characteristics and chromosomes were also studied. The results showed that Dendrolimus tabulaeformis, Dendrolimus tabulaeformis and Dendrolimus punctatus were indeed the same species, but due to the long-term adaptation to different ecological environments, the morphological and biological characteristics of each other had been somewhat different. According to the zoological nomenclature Stipulates that we believe that the oil pine caterpillars and red pine caterpillars should be respectively designated as Dendrolimus punctatus subsp., That is, Dendrolimus punctatus (Den drolimuspunctatust?
