80年代以来,世界经济增长的重心逐步向太平洋地区转移,东亚地区一跃成为世界经济的主要增长源,并且产生出一批具有重要影响的城市.东亚各国(地区)为了在未来竞争中处于不败之地,纷纷展开了对资金、技术、人才等资源的竞争.与此同时,上海也提出了在21世纪前半期建成国际级经济、贸易、金融三大中心的设想.上海的设想能否实现,除了受自身内部因素和国内各省市之间竞争的影响外,也必然受到周边国家(地区)的挑战.因此有必要对上海在国际区域分工和竞争中的位势进行判断,对东亚主要城市的经济发展现状、优势与劣势进行分析,寻找出制约上海建成“三个中心”的主要竞争对手.
