中药的质量评价是中药应用的关键。目前,大部分中药的活性物质尚不清楚且其成分较为复杂,使得以化学检测为手段的中药质量标准的建立存在很大的盲目性。建立生物学功效的检测方法,可以为中药的质量评价提供一条新的路径。该文利用秀丽隐杆线虫(Caenorhabditis elegans)评价了五种不同产地灵芝水提取物对提高野生型线虫和FOXO(forkhead box O)转录因子突变体抗氧化应激能力的效果。结果表明,不同产地灵芝均能够提高线虫抗氧化应激的能力,但功效差异显著。同时,不同产地灵芝提高线虫氧化应激能力的机制也存在差异,这提示了灵芝中存在不同的起效活性物质。该文的研究结果证明了利用模式生物秀丽隐杆线虫可以有效地区分不同产地灵芝的生物活性,并可以将其作为探索评价灵芝生物活性的一个研究方向。
Quality evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine is the key to the application. At present, most active substances of traditional Chinese medicine are not yet clear and their composition is more complicated, which makes the establishment of quality standards of traditional Chinese medicines based on chemical tests as blind as possible. Establishing a biological testing method can provide a new path for the quality evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine. In this paper, Caenorhabditis elegans was used to evaluate the effects of water extracts of Ganoderma lucidum from five different habitats on increasing the antioxidant capacity of wild-type nematode and FOXO (forkhead box O) mutant. The results showed that Ganoderma lucidum could increase the antioxidant capacity of nematodes, but the efficacy was significantly different. At the same time, there are differences in the mechanisms by which Ganoderma lucidum can increase the oxidative stress ability of C. elegans, suggesting that there are different active substances in Ganoderma lucidum. The results of this study demonstrate that the use of the model organism Caenorhabditis elegans can effectively distinguish the biological activity of Ganoderma lucidum from different areas and can be used as a research direction to evaluate the biological activity of Ganoderma lucidum.
