雌马酚是大豆异黄酮重要的代谢产物,人群中约有30%~50%的人能将大豆异黄酮转化成雌马酚进而排泄,但影响其转化的因素目前尚不完全清楚,其中肠道菌群可能是最重要的因素。雌马酚较其原型大豆异黄酮具有更为有效的生物学作用。研究并开发雌马酚的生物活性、代谢转化的规律及其生理功能,对于预防和控制心血管病、骨质疏松症、血脂异常、肥胖、更年期综合症以及乳腺癌、前列腺癌等许多慢性疾病具有十分重要的意义。本文就雌马酚在人体内的代谢过程、生物活性以及对于多种慢性病的预防作用做一综述。
