高职教育的终极目标是要把学生培养成为高技能、高素质的和谐发展的人。加强高职学生的人文素质已成为一种必然。英语作为一种语言可以融学科教育和人文教育于一体,促进高职人文素质教育的实现。在英语教学中要培养学生的人文素质就要提高教师的综合素质,使教师在教学中关注学生的个体差异以因材施教;同时,教师要充分利用信息技术等多种教学手段,充分挖掘教材中的人文教育的精神养分,突出人文素质教育的主旋律。
