物理学中的量和单位名目繁多,它们的字母代号来源,大致可分为如下四类:一、来源于英语单词字头字母。诸如力学上的力(F)来自 force,重力(G)来自 gravitation,体积(V)来自 volume,时间(T)来自time,功(W)来自 work,功率(P)来自 power,压强(P)来自 pressure,阻力及电阻(R)来自 resistance,加速度(a)来自 add(增加),能(E)来自 energy,频率(f)来自 frequency,而磁极 N 和 S,则分别来自 north(北)和 south(南)。由此可见,掌握好英语,是有助于物理量的记忆的。
