“What to do if you die tomorrow?” Describing Andrew, an introverted and timid young writer, subconsciously fears repeating his father Ken’s experience and leaves his gracious mentally handicapped wife, Meridis, who is entirely his mother Irene’s incarnation) and the children went to journalist Cortes, a woman who did not allow him to show any timidity. Andrew does not understand why Ken tolerates Irene, Ken’s answer is “in those days (separation) is not so easy.” Indeed, the social unrest in those days was so unbearable that it would only sacrifice his personal growth and future, and Irene would not go beyond that. And Andrew did not want to face such an end and took a different course of action. Although Andrew was guilty about his own children and had trouble getting along with Kesti’s children, he still hoped that Kosti would do so if “everything will be fine by then.” In the script, Andrew Williams’s no confidence in the old moral standards and values, but no new to guide his behavior. He calls himself a “moral mover.” He can easily describe his feelings, but a fear of lack of moral standards can not always be thrown away, only when he was caught or punished on the scene just feel relaxed. This fear of disillusionment is manifested in the form of comedies. It can be assumed that the more serious the problem, the more comic the characters. Williamson himself said, “... although I criticize the Australian society, but I still have feelings for it.I like the kind of terrible, cynical sense of humor that developed in the worst conditions.I think the standard The Australian joke is: ”A drunk sitting bench in the park?
