Interests in cross-cultural studies of art and aesthetics have been revived since the 1960s, with an increasing number of treatises on topics such as the function of artists, style traditions, symbolism and art. The interaction between disciplines that were separated from each other in the past is more and more, and scholars are more and more interested in the comparative study of aesthetics. Studies on non-Western aesthetics have shown that each culture has aesthetic principles, and the philosophy of art differs greatly from one society to another. Art shows its importance in every society. In the 1990s, there was an increase in literature on non-Western art and aesthetics systems. The research at this time was influenced by the postmodernist movement, with more attention paid to the discipline itself and its theoretical framework. On the other hand, the number of market art continues to surge. As far as world art research is concerned, the study of market art should not be neglected. As art is constantly evolving at a different rate, describing and understanding the many emerging arts and art theories around the world is a great and exciting challenge before us.
