Chakrabarti and others at a London hospital introduced a new baby high-frequency oscillating ventilator. It has two spray nozzles, one to generate an oscillating respiratory flow, and to wet, preheat the fresh gas, anesthetic gas into the lungs; the other nozzle can produce PEEP. The usual medical oxygen (400kPa) can be used as the driving gas source, the electronically controlled engine can complete the oscillation frequency and control the nozzle air flow.
