In 1996 China Institute of Atomic Energy has signed 8 international bilateral agreements, memorandums and contracts with Japan, Italy, Korea and USA. CIAE sent out for 256 men-times its own scientists, engineers and technicians to more than 20 countries and regions for international conferences, scientific surveies and research, academic exchanges, scientific and technical cooperations and trade contracts, etc.. CIAE has also participated activitie organized by the IAEA. For example, as the local organize, CIAE sponsored meeting of the IAEA. CIAE received 126 groups foreign visitors 391 men-times and gave 95 lectures. Some of them worked and researched in CIAE.
