古人云“左图右史”,足见他们对历史地图的重视。确实,从古至今历史地图都是读史、学史的一项重要工具,它既能直观形象地展现历史面貌,又能激发学生学史兴趣。由此可见,历史地图已成为历史教学中不可或缺的一环。它有以下几大优点: 一、趣味性 兴趣是最好的老师,失去兴趣,学习就失去了方向,失去了动力。历史知识的过去性是历史知识一个最显著和最基本的特征,历史过程发生以后事过境迁、过眼云烟,是不可重复的。这是历史教学的一个难点。我们只能凭借前人留下的间接的历史材料来认识,但如果我们仅仅依托抽象、枯燥的文字资料去认识历史,是不符合中学生心理发展特点的,不易激发他们的学史兴趣,以增强教学效果。但丰富、形象、直观的历史图片资料,在一定程度上能很好地解决这一问题。例如:半坡遗址、河姆渡遗址系统地反映了原始社会氏族公社的生活,但要使众多的历史学习者
