Objective: To investigate the expression of Ki-67 in triple negative breast cancer and its clinicopathological significance. Methods: The clinical and pathological data of 110 patients with triple-negative breast cancer undergoing radical mastectomy from November 1, 2010 to December 31, 2015 in Liaoning Cancer Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. The Ki- 67, and analyzed its relationship with clinical pathological data such as patient’s age, menopause, histological type, clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, tumor size and so on. Survival curves were further drawn using Kaplan-Meier survival analysis to compare the 3-year and 5-year survival rates of patients with high expression of Ki-67 and low expression of Ki-67. Results: Ki-67 in triple-negative breast cancer patients under 50 years of age and over 50 years of age, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05); Ki-67 in triple negative breast cancer patients with menopausal status, histological type, clinical stage , Lymph node metastasis and tumor size (P> 0.05). The 3-year survival rate of high-expression Ki-67 group was 79.49%, and the 5-year survival rate was 30.77% The 3-year survival rate was 85.92% and the 5-year survival rate was 46.48%. There was no significant difference in the 3-year survival rates between the two groups (P> 0.05). The 5-year survival rates of the two groups were statistically significant (P <0.05). There was significant difference between the two groups in the total survival time (P <0.05). Conclusion: Ki-67 is highly expressed in triple-negative breast cancer and may be a risk factor for poor prognosis of breast cancer.
