There is a subtitle of “Summer 2005”, “The Scene of Civilians.” The original intention of drawing these paintings was not art, but rather an expression of my joy and sorrow as a civilian to experience the civilian population. Although such expressions may be regarded as too artless, the feeling of survival and moral self-consciousness made me inadvertently consider the significance and value of my paintings under the eyes of others and the current market culture.
