Capitalism is a Disruptive Expansion Movement Giovanni Arrighi put forth a remarkable issue, the issue of financial capital, in The Long Twentieth Century. This is a problem we are unaware of, lingering in our minds without any inspection or more serious consideration, making it a real question: what is monetarism and why the investment and stock markets are no more declining than industrial production? More attractive? How can you profit first without being productive? Where did all these over-speculation come from? Did new-style cities (including postmodern buildings) have anything to do with the dynamic mutation of land value? Why did land speculation and stock markets become developed? Social dominance?
